I finished the Twin Peaks original series today and I thought it was great. To preface I did skip episodes 10-28, I had read online that a good chunk of the episodes could be skipped because they just weren't good at all and that another few episodes were not great but not the worst. I decided to skip these episodes because of how strong episode 7 was, I was worried that watching all the "filler" would make me lose interest in the series or maybe make me lose some of the hype of the series.
But back to the topic at hand, the series finale. I thought it was confusing, odd, and scary, but all of this is good. It achieved something that I have never seen before, I wasn't mad that I was confused but instead it got me thinking about what it all meant. Another thing that I really loved was all the imagery and set design, all of it was so interesting and so odd. Some of the creative decisions like having all the audio be reveresed then un-reversed helped to create that eerie or offputting vibe. Another thing I enjoyed was the somewhat of a cliffhanger ending, it leaves the viewer to think and theorize what has happened and what will happen.
I really enjoyed the show. It's unlike anything I've ever watched or seen and from my point of view it achieves exactly what it sets out to do, no matter how confusing or strange.
( I am very excited to watch Fire Walk With Me :D )

The Sony Walkman NW-S636F I ordered from Japan got to the city yesterday and it was a very frustrating process to get it here but I am gald it did. The main issue with delivery was a form I had to fill out for international shipping. I had been getting calls from FedEx regarding the form but since I didn't have the number saved or it didn't display anything I wasn't picking up the calls. After a few calls they emailed me and in all the emails they would say that I would get a seperate email with the form but that email never came. Eventually Buyee, the service I bought the Walkman from emailed me saying that the package would be shipped back to Japan because I did not submit the form and that I would be charged extra for any return fees on top of the original costs, so I emailed Buyee saying it was bullshit and they said something along the lines of, sorry we can't do anything. Luckily either later that day or the next day I got a call from FedEx that I finally picked up and they let me fill out the form and I finally got my Walkman.
The Walkman is really cool and the audio quality and design is really cool. There are only two issues I have with it and those are, since its a Japanese product everything is in Japanese, luckily the year is 2026 and google translate photos are a thing and I can pretty easily navigate everything, just with an extra step. The other issue is that the Walkman doesn't just let you drag and drop files it requites a program called SoundStage 4.4. When I was downloading this program the only place I could find a download was a sketchy link on internet archive. What I ended up doing was downloading the install file and putting it on a old Windows 7 laptop I had and then installing the program on there. All that is a little annoying but ultimately just one extra step, the main issue is because it is a Japanese program it uses Japanese characters for its text but either because its old, or its an internet archive download, or because its an U.S. laptop, almost all of the characters in the prohgram are not Japanese characters but (?), so the entire thing is basically unreadable, so with everything I have to do on the program such as adding music to the Walkman, I have to blindly guess what buttons do what. Luckily I have gotten pretty lucky and have been able to figure most things out and I have been able to add music succesfully.
Overall it has been a pretty odd experience but the final product is good

Today I picked up a copy of Fire Walk With Me on Blu-Ray/UHD criterion collection from Barnes and Noble and I am very excited to watch it. As I have watched season 2 I am only getting more and more excited to watch Fire Walk WIth Me and see all the stuff that led up to Laura Palmers murder.
Something adding more excitment is the episode I watched today which is episode 7 of season 2, the ending was amazing and finally revealed Laura Palmers murderer which only makes me more excited to see how the rest of the town finds out who it is. I believe my plan is to watch episode 8 and 9 then skip to either episode 17 or the finale. Not to sure rn though.

Currently I'm watching Twin Peaks, I have already watched season 1 and I enjoyed it a lot, I'm now on to season 2. Currently I am on episode 7 at the time of writing and I have enjoyed what I've seen, it is definitly far more goofy and going for a more fun or playful tone but there are some bits that I have enjoyed quite a bit.
I Considered skipping season 2 originally because my dad said it wasnt very important and that it would be ok to just skip to the return because it was so amazing, but after doing some research it does seem pretty important to the plot and important for the movie Fire Walk With Me and some things for The Return.
I also recently watched Blue Velvet which I enjoyed thoroughly, it was very odd and uncomfortable but everything was done in such a good way that didn't make it feel unnecessary or just for the sake of being gross or uncomfortable but to show a story and the lowest most grimey parts of the United States.
I guess you could I'm on my Lynch grind rn
